Mission Statement
Our Mission is to empower adolescents and pregnant and parenting teens to overcome trauma and break the cycle of violence and poverty.?  Through a wide range of creative strategies and collaborations, involving outreach and advocacy, Destiny House builds relationships with adolescents and young adults, who may be physically and emotionally "stuck" in destructive patterns of living.  Destiny House fully recognizes poverty and its relationship to violence.

Vision Statement
Our Vision is to create a community wherein people of all ages, ethnicities, and diverse cultures, who are threatened by violence, can have an input on the strategies and solutions to these and other problems that impact their lives.

“It wasn’t until I became aware of the social ills that plague our generation that I actually became invested in the future of our age.  Working at Destiny House was nothing short of an eye-opening experience that resonates with me where ever I go.  In this life, as Malcolm X says, ‘a man who stands for nothing will fall for anything’.  Thanks to Destiny House, I now have something to stand for…  It really has changed my life and the way I think about myself and my past…  and, all I wanted was an internship.”
